Standing at about 4" tall (or 5.25" if you count the ears) is Made Cozy's take on a traditional mohair baby rabbit toy.

Kit Cottontail was designed as a baby bunny to our first toy: Aster Cottontail at the end of 2025 to celebrate our own baby.

This is the second edition of Kit Cottontail-- Rosey Spring Edition! Kit is made of 100% mohair fabric with a pale blue linen belly. The ears are made from silk velvet in a rosy pink and have little folds to give them the rounded shape that baby bunnies tend to have. Their faces are hand embroidered and they are stuffed with 100% wool ethically sourced from US farms.

Care

Our Care & Repair page has a guide for cleaning and repairing your toys which we encourage you to follow. The short answer is: these are natural materials and should be gently hand washed in lukewarm water.

Inner materials

Wool Filling

These are stuffed with 100% wool, ethically sourced from US farms. Wool is a traditional teddy bear stuffing material. It is uniquely lightweight and bouncy. It fills out these toys without making them too firm. Wool has been found to be naturally antibacterial and long lasting. To keep wool in good shape it should be washed by hand. You can find out more in our care & repair section.

Detail Materials

Mohair fabric:

We use 100% wool mohair fabric with cotton backings. This means the pile is made of wool and the woven fabric it is attached to is cotton. We tend to purchase our mohair fabrics as "remnants." This means it was designated as an offcut-- the last piece of fabric on the bolt. Sometimes the fabric isn't made anymore, other times it is just an strange size that can only be used for small pieces like toymaking. Not only are these fabrics all natural, but using them is a great way to reduce waste as they are harder to sell.
