Clover Grazer is 7" long lamb who loves to lay in the overgrown meadows of New England farms. Clover is inspired by vintage pull along toy sheep and hand drawn Victorian Easter cards. The main fabric is a 100% cotton sherpa that we hand dyed with avocado pits using a natural dying process where the fabric is pretreated with soymilk to help the fabric bond to the dye. We used a thinner midnight black fleece for the legs, ears, face, and tail where we wanted to draw attention to the delicate detail and structure. The thicker teddy bear sherpa fabric is very fitting for the plush body.
They're finished with a 100% silk ribbon in either blue, green, or red. If you'd like to request a specific ribbon, when you open your cart you should see a "special order instructions" box and you can include the ribbon color there.
Clover Grazer is perfect for spring and makes a lovely addition to an Easter basket.

It's important to note that natural dyes can be long lasting but they are more sensitive to harsh soaps, and UV light than most commercial dyes. You can expect that this pink will fade a bit over the years and eventually turn a lighter peachy pink. To us, that is part of the beauty of these materials.

Inner materials
Wool Filling
These are stuffed with 100% wool, ethically sourced from US farms. Wool is a traditional teddy bear stuffing material. It is uniquely lightweight and bouncy. It fills out these toys without making them too firm. Wool has been found to be naturally antibacterial and long lasting. To keep wool in good shape it should be washed by hand. You can find out more in our care & repair section.

Materials
Hand Dyed Cotton Teddy Fabric:
This is a 100% organic cotton knit fabric. It comes to us undyed in a natural off-white cotton color and we hand dyed it with natural dye processes using avocado pits for a warm pink color. We pretreat the fabric in soymilk, let it cure so the fibers can bond to the protein and then make a dye bath by gently heating avocado pits for a few hours. The fabric sits in the dye bath for 24 hours and is then dried for a week before rinsing and washing.
This is the plushest, all cotton fabric we have found and is quite special as the majority of teddy bear and fleece fabrics are polyester. We typically like to use it in its natural color but occasionally dye it with plant pigments in our studio. Sourced from a small business based in Pennsylvania, USA and manufactured in China.
